The Sahrawi activists in the Socialist offices in Valencia - Photo EFE They are demanding action from the Spanish Government following recent events in the Western SaharaSome 20 Sahrawi activists have taken over the Socialist Party offices in Valencia in protest at what they see as silence from the Spanish Government in the face of the crackdown seen on their people in the Western Sahara.They insist the Spanish Government condemn the events in the city of Laayoune. The spokesperson for the activist, Nadira Mohamed, demanded the Spanish Government ‘recognise the Sahrawi Republic as a country, and until they get an answer from the Government they planned to remain in the Valencia offices.The activists chanted that the King of Morocco has his hands stained with blood, and for that reason have painted their hands red.
